Snake VS Block
More games to play
Snake VS Block is a free browser arcade game where you guide a chain of balls into waves of numbered bricks. Each brick you hit costs you that many balls, so route carefully or your snake will shrink down to nothing. No download, no account. The game runs in your browser and is free to play, including at school or work where browser games are allowed.
What is Snake VS Block?
You control a snake made up of a stack of numbered balls that scrolls endlessly forward. Blocks slide down the screen, each stamped with a number showing how many balls they will cost you on impact. Scatter-collect the circle pickups along the way to add balls and keep your snake alive. The run ends when you run out of balls. The goal is to last as long as possible and rack up the highest score you can.
Controls and movement
All controls steer the snake left and right. There is no jumping or stopping.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Steer left or right | Hold left mouse button and drag |
| Steer left | A key or left arrow |
| Steer right | D key or right arrow |
| Pause | P key |
Blocks and ball pickups
Two things appear on the play field and each one matters.
| Object | What it does |
|---|---|
| Numbered block | Deducts that number from your ball count when you smash through it |
| Circle pickup | Adds balls to your snake, extending it and giving you more buffer |
Scoring and how long a run lasts
There are no set levels or a finish line. The game is an endless high-score chase. Each block you break adds to your score, and blocks get harder (higher numbers) as the run goes on. Your run ends the moment your snake has no balls left. The best strategy is to hit low-number blocks and grab as many circle pickups as possible to keep building your count before tackling the big bricks.
Tips for lasting longer
- Always grab circle pickups before hitting a big-numbered block. The extra balls are your buffer.
- Steer around blocks with numbers higher than your current ball count. One wrong hit ends the run.
- Low-number blocks on the edges are often safe to clip through for extra score without much cost.
- On mobile the game has its own dedicated app on Google Play and the App Store if you prefer touchscreen play outside the browser.
